The main aim of this dissertation is to discover whether consumers feel that e-commerce provides superior performance and technology facilities than traditional retail from the perspective of Indian consumers, and to assess the importance of Omni-channel concepts and operations in the fashion industry. The fashion industry is one of the foremost business segments in India. Currently, the fashion industry is overcoming with new technology and innovation in their business. In the 1990s e-commerce was introduced saw the potential possibilities of innovation, and the new concepts which made the consumer base attractive towards e-commerce. Online retailers are growing faster than traditional retailers due to high pressure from online retailer’s offers and strategies. This research is identifies the issues in the fashion retail business in India. What are the challenges faced by traditional retail? What are the environmental causes disturbing the fashion retail industry which are argued with more detail in PEST analysis and Porter’s five forces of modern retailing and communication? Traditional fashion retailers understand how to solve difficulties and challenges in the supply chain. Discussed many technologies for fashion retail markets to improve their strategy and customer satisfaction. Researching the hypotheses are collecting behaviourism, functionalism, and experimental ideas what should traditional retailers do in their retail shop and which channel should they adopt for their business? Hypotheses are used to conduct a quick market analysis to understand the Indian demographic attitudes towards technologies, client interest, and Omni-channel. We need to understand which approaches we can use to gain knowledge in theoretical perspective. Multiple techniques are involved in the analysis and validation of hypotheses. I used SPSS tool for data analysis with cross-tabulation function. In this research I found that traditional retail and e-commerce are independent of each other but gradually merging, a most important factor for future fashion industry trends. They are systematically embracing Omni-channel strategy to provide good consumer service

Purpose: To formulate extended-release tablets of diclofenac sodium based on ispaghula huskMethods: Tablets with varying proportions of diclofenac sodium and ispaghula husk were formulated by wet granulation technique at a fixed compression force of 10 kN. The formulated tablets were evaluated for physicochemical parameters as well as by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and x-ray diffraction (XRD).Results: Content uniformity, weight variation, thickness and friability of the formulated tablets were within acceptable limits. The hardness of the tablet decreased from 5.4 to 4.2 kg/cm2 with increasing quantity of ispaghula husk in the formulation. In contrast, disintegration time increased from 12 to 70 min with increasing amount of husk. Tablets formulated with 1:0.25 and 1:0.5 drug/husk ratio failed to extend drug release whereas tablets prepared with 1:0.75 and 1:1 ratio extended release up to 5 and 6 h, respectively. FTIR, DSC and XRD analysis of tablets revealed the absence of diclofenac–ispaghula interaction and crystalline nature of diclofenac sodium. Drug release data fitted well with Korsmeyar-Peppas and the n value of 0.98 indicate non-Fickian diffusion. The tablets were stable on storage and retained its physicochemical properties within acceptable limits. Conclusion: The results indicate the possibility of formulating extended-release tablets based on ispaghula husk. The tablets were stable during storage and free from drug-excipient interactions. However further studies are required to ascertain the safety of the husk and to optimize the release properties of the tablets. Keywords: Ispaghula husk, Extended release tablet, Diclofenac sodium, Release kinetics

Objectives: Dapagliflozin is the first novel sodium glucose co transporter 2 inhibitor for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes. The aim of this audit was to evaluate its effectiveness and safety in a real-life clinical setting. Methods: We analyze data from four UK district general hospitals on patients initiated on dapagliflozin. HbA1c, weight and daily insulin dosage was recorded at baseline and 6 months follow-up. Results: At baseline, mean HbA1c was 82±19.21mmol/mol(9.7%) and mean weight was 102±18.1kg. The average reduction in HbA1c at 6 months was 13±7.23 mmol/mol (1%) whereas the average reduction in weight was 2 ±2.02 kg.. A mean reduction in daily insulin requirement by 12±8.3 units at 6 months compared to baseline was noted. There were certain complications in patients taking insulin and gliclazide including candidiasis, urinary tract infection and hypoglycaemia, and 4% patients discontinued dapagliflozin due to side effects. Conclusion: Our results confirm that dapagliflozin can be used safely and effectively in a real-life setting

Heterosis breeding is one of the most efficient tools to exploit the heterotic response for various useful traits. The Line × Tester mating design was undertaken with seven lines and three testers were evaluated along with twenty one hybrids in randomized block design to estimate the magnitude of heterosis for yield and its yield contributing characters. The best way to utilize heterosis in crop is to generate F1 hybrids having maximum heterozygocity, thereby facilitating the identification and selection of hybrid vigor. The positive significant standard heterosis for fruit yield per plant was maximum with L3 × T1 (28.94%) followed by L7 × T3 (15.73%) and L7 × T1 (15.10%) respectively. Some of the promising hybrids have showed desirable heterosis for plant height, number of fruits per plant,1000 seed weight, seedling shoot length, seedling root length and seedling dry weight

SARS-CoV-2 Vaccination Associated Transverse Myelitis: A Case Report

While policy makers around the globe have meticulously organised mass immunisation against Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), its safety concerns and adverse events that need prompt evaluation are also emerging. Acute Transverse Myelitis (TM) is a rare neurological phenomenon where motor, sensory or autonomic disturbance occurs as a result of spinal cord injury. The aetiology of transverse myelitis is thought to be immune-mediated as a result of infection, parainfectious disorder, autoimmune disease or malignancy. Though a rare disease, acute TM warrants prompt recognition and aggressive therapy for favourable neurological patient outcomes. Hereby, authors presented this case of a 61-year-old male patient who developed symptoms of acute TM, 20 days after receiving an adenovirus vectored ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine against SARS-CoV-2. The patient was treated with intravenous steroids, supportive care with Foley’s catheterisation and his weakness and bladder control improved over 1 week

A new fault diagnosis algorithm for helical gears rotating at low speed using an optical encoder

    Get PDF
Helical gears are widely used in gearboxes due to its low noise and high load carrying capacity, but it is difficult to diagnose their early faults based on the signals produced by condition monitoring systems, particularly when the gears rotate at low speed. In this paper, a new concept of Root Mean Square (RMS) value calculation using angle domain signals within small angular ranges is proposed. With this concept, a new diagnosis algorithm based on the time pulses of an encoder is developed to overcome the difficulty of fault diagnosis for helical gears at low rotational speeds. In this proposed algorithm, both acceleration signals and encoder impulse signal are acquired at the same time. The sampling rate and data length in angular domain are determined based on the rotational speed and size of the gear. The vibration signals in angular domain are obtained by re-sampling the vibration signal of the gear in the time domain according to the encoder pulse signal. The fault features of the helical gear at low rotational speed are then obtained with reference to the RMS values in small angular ranges and the order tracking spectrum following the Angular Domain Synchronous Average processing (ADSA). The new algorithm is not only able to reduce the noise and improves the signal to noise ratio by the ADSA method, but also extract s the features of helical gear fault from the meshing position of the faulty gear teeth, hence overcoming the difficulty of fault diagnosis of helical gears rotating at low speed. The experimental results have shown that the new algorithm is more effective than traditional diagnosis methods. The paper concludes that the proposed helical gear fault diagnosis method based on time pulses of encoder algorithm provides a new means of helical gear fault detection and diagnosis
